Pengaruh Kondisi Pemesinan Pada Proses Up milling dan Down milling Terhadap Kekasaran Permukaan Baja Karbon Rendah Menggunakan Mesin Frais Horizontal

Abstract


Ringkasan

Salah satu kualitas dari proses pemotongan logam adalah kekasaran permukaan hasil pemotongan. Kekasaran hasil pemotongan pada frais horizontal banyak di pengaruhi oleh proses yang terjadi selama pemotongan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh proses pemotongan yaitu kecepatan potong, kecepatan makan, dan kedalaman makan terhadap kekasaran permukaan .Dari pengujian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Untuk kecepatan potong (Vc) semakin tinggi kecepatan di dapatkan nilai kekasaran permukaan benda kerja semakin menurun (halus) sampai titik/batas maksimum. Pada kecepatan selanjutnya kekasaran permukaan mengalami kenaikan. Untuk kecepatan makan (Vf) Maka dapat di simpulkan dengan kecepatan yang sama didapatkan kekasaran permukaan yang berbeda. kekasaran permukaan proses up milling lebih besar dibandingkan proses down milling. Untuk kedalaman potong (a) dapat diperoleh suatu kesimpulan semakin besar kedalaman potong semakin tinggi kekasaran permukaan. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kekasaran permukaan hasil suatu pengerjaan cukup banyak, tetapi yang paling berpengaruh adalah kecepatan makan (feeding) dan kedalaman pemakanan. dan yang paling kecil pengaruhnya adalah kecepatan potong.

Kata kunci : Kecepatan potong, gerak makan, kedalaman potong, dan kekasaran permukaan.

 

Abstract

One of the qualities of the metal cutting process is cutting the surface roughness. Roughness of the cutting in a horizontal milling much influenced by processes that occur during cutting. This study aims to determine the effect of the cutting process there are, the cutting speed, feed rate, feed and depth of surface roughness. From the result of calibration has been done to the conclusion that the cutting speed (Vc) the higher the speed in getting the work piece surface roughness values ​​decreased (smooth) to the point / limit. In the next rate there is  increase of surface roughness. For the feeding speed (Vf) It can be concluded at the same speed obtained different surface roughness. Up the process of milling the surface roughness is greater than the down milling process. For depth of cut (a) may obtain a greater depth of cut conclusion the higher surface roughness. Factors affecting the outcome of a surface roughness of workmanship is quite a lot, but the most influential is the speed of eating (feeding) and the depth of Ingestion. and the least influence is the cutting speed.
