Abstract


Abstract: This study aims to improve the activity and results of studying chemistry student by applying learning model TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray) in class XI IPA SMAN 5 9 Palembang. This research is a classroom action research conducted in three cycles. Data collected by using observation sheet and test end of the cycle. Completeness student learning outcomes before the action of 10.25%, after being given an action using TSTS cooperative learning (Two Stay two Stray) mastery learning outcomes of students increased by 41.02% and the percentage of students' learning activeness of 51.40%. Cycle II mastery learning outcomes of students increased to 79.48% and the students' learning activeness reached 60.55%, due to an improvement actions that discussion, answering questions in LKPD, reading literature, ask questions, and explain to other groups during the learning process, with how to guide students in discussion. Mastery learning outcomes of students increased to 94.87% and the percentage of students learning activity amounted to 66.53% after the corrective action is explained to each group during the learning process, not continued into the fourth cycle due to the thoroughness of learning outcomes and student activity has reached an indicator success. Results showed an increase in activity and student learning outcomes using models pembelajarna TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray), it can be concluded T0>T1>T>T3. Recommended to teachers who experience the same problem in learning can apply learning model TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray) that the learning outcomes and student activity may increase.
