PENGARUH TINGKAT UPAH DAN TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN TERHADAP JAM KERJA PEKERJA WANITA PADA INDUSTRI PERHOTELAN DI KOTA PALEMBANG

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of wage rate and education grade of
hours of work woman worker at hotel industry in Palembang municipality. By
using the descriptive method, this research surveyed five four-stars hotel in
Palembang municipality. The questionnaire was used as research instrument
supported by interview and documentation, and data had been collected from
September 2009 until November 2009. Data analysis to test the hypothesis is
multiple regression analysis. The result of this research shows that if wage rate
of woman worker increases, so the hours of work of woman worker at fourstars
hotel
will
increase
as
well.
In
the
other
hand,
if
education
grade
of
woman

worker

increase so the hours of work of woman worker at four-stars hotel will
increase too. Furthermore, the implications of this research are to give the right
attention to woman worker for their education grade as an investment to enter
the labor market and to give the support for government program of Visit Musi
2008.
