Author Guidelines

The manuscript submitted by the author is an original scientific work, has never been published and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere. The author who submits the manuscript has sufficient rights to publish the manuscript and fill in the statement free of plagiarism (download here). Sriwijaya Nursing Journal is not responsible for the contents of the published publication of research articles

The submitted texts must have obtained the ethics commission approval for studies involving experiments in humans. The author submits a script to this website as a new submission and must first sign up as an author. Or you can also send an E-mail to: jk.sriwijaya@unsri.ac.id

For the sake of smooth communication, the author is expected to include a mailing address, e-mail, and telephone number that can be contacted.

All texts submitted to the Sriwijaya Nursing Journal will go through a review process by reviewers and will go through the editing stage by the editor. The assessment system is anonymous and independent. The editor determines the final decision of the manuscript received for publication. The author will receive a notification from the Editor if the text is accepted for publication. The author will be asked to make improvements (if any) and return the revised script immediately. Each question is answered completely. Changes made to the revised manuscript are listed. Only small changes that can be made such as typos, are not permitted to make major changes to the revised script. The author is asked to examine carefully the wording and editing and the completeness and correctness of the text, tables and images of the revised text.

Manuscripts with typing errors that are quite a lot will be returned to the author to be typed again. Manuscripts that have been declared accepted will experience a delay in publishing if the submission of script writing is not in accordance with the prescribed instructions. The rejected text is not returned to the author, unless the author has stated it from the beginning. Authors whose texts are rejected have the right to ask the editor one more time to look for another appraiser, if the author can argue that the assessor is not objective in evaluating the text. After the editorial team determines the author's text is accepted, the editor will publish the text to this website in electronic form and will proceed to the printing press and the author has the right to get 2 copies of the printed journal after publication.

  1. The manuscript submitted in the Sriwijaya Nursing Journal can be either a research article or literature review. 
  2. The manuscript submitted by the author is an original scientific work, has never been published and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere. The author who submits the manuscript has sufficient rights to publish the manuscript and fill out a statement free of plagiarism. Therefore we are not responsible for this.
  3. For manuscripts resulting from studies involving experiments in humans, the proposed text must have obtained ethical commission approval.
  4. Fill in the manuscript: (a) The title is written in Indonesian and consists of a maximum of 20 words, (b) The author's identity is written under the title that contains the name, institution / correspondence address, and e-mail address, (c) Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English with a maximum of 200 words. Abstract is written in one paragraph with spacing 1, size of letter 11, and includes objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and keywords, (d) Introduction includes the background and purpose of the research, (e) The research method contains information about design, population, sample, data collection techniques, and data analysis (f) The results of the study include the findings of researchers. The discussion contains a description of the results of the study which contain theoretical discussion and relevant arguments. Conclusions answer the research objectives and suggestions that are explained logically and appropriately, (g) References are written in accordance with the vancouver model and sorted according to the appearance of the reference in the contents of the text.
  5. The manuscript is written with Microsoft Word computer program, a maximum of 20 pages are contained in the size of a quarto paper with a single space, the times new Roman letter with the size of letters 12 except abstract.

  7. All texts submitted will go through evaluations by reviewers and or editors. The evaluation system is synonymous and independent. The author will receive a notification from the editor team if the text is approved for publication. The author will be asked to make improvements (if any) and return the revised script immediately. Changes to the results of the revised manuscript will be written in the list and the author is expected to examine carefully the wording and editing as well as the completeness and correctness of the text, tables and images that have been revised.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
