KETANGGUHAN BEBAN IMPAK DAN BEBAN TARIK MAKSIMUM PADA PELAT BAJA BERLAPIS AKIBAT QUENCHING DAN NORMALIZING

Abstract


Ringkasan

Kekuatan bahan pada saat ini telah mengalami perkembangan yang pesat. Pada umumnya kekuatan material logam tergantung terhadap dimensi material tersebut. Suatu material memerlukan kekuatan terhadap tumbukan serta kelenturan. Untuk meningkatkan kekuatan material dapat dilakukan dengan penambahan jumlah lapisan dengan ketebalan dan dimensi yang sama melalui perlakuan panas yang sesuai. Pengujian impak dan pengujian tarik dilakukan dengan tiga perlakuan yaitu tanpa perlakuan, normalizing dan quenching. Energi impak yang terbesar pada spesimen uji impak tanpa perlakuan dengan ketebalan 2,5 mm dengan hasil 89,75 Joule dan energi impak yang terkecil secara keseluruhan dari ketiga perlakuan yang digunakan pada pengujian impak terdapat pada spesimen yang diberi perlakuan quenching pada ketebalan 2,0 mm yaitu 62,12 Joule. Beban tarik maksimum paling besar terdapat pada spesimen tanpa perlakuan dengan ketebalan 2,0 mm yaitu sebesar 9075 kgf dan beban tarik maksimum yang paling rendah terdapat pada spesimen yang dinormalizing dengan ketebalan 1,25 mm yaitu sebesar 7262,5 kgf.

Abstract

Until now the material strength has growth rapidly. Commonly, the strength of material is depend on the dimension. A material need a strength too, one of the strength is impact strength and the tensile strength. To maximized the strength of material is added the layer of material with the same thickness, same dimension and compactible heat treatment. The specimens had make for two testing are impact and tensile testings. The impact testing show that the biggest point is thickness 2,5 mm with non treatment 89,75 Joule and the smallest point is to be thickness 2,0 mm with quenching 62,12 Joule. The tensile testing show that biggest point is thickness 2,5 mm with non treatment 89,75 Joule and the smallest point is to be thickness 2,0 mm with quenching 62,12 Joule. The tensile testing show that biggest point is thickness 2,0 mm with non treatment 9075 kgf and the smallest point is to be thickness 1,25 mm with quenching 7262,5 kgf.
