    Author Guidelines

    Articles written for the Journal of Mechanical Engineering Education (JPTM) include:
    1. Manuscripts are typed in Times New Roman letters, font size 11, with spaces 1, spaces after heading 3pt and spaces before the new heading are 6pt, typed in A4 paper with 1 column format and 2.5 cm margins for top, bottom, left and right. Manuscript is written 11pt as long as a maximum of 15 pages, and the file is created with Microsoft word.
    2. The name of the artiket is listed without an academic degree and is placed below the title of the article followed by the name of the original institution and e-mail address. If the author consists of 4 or more people, which is listed below the article is the name of the main author; the names of other writers are included in the footnote of the first page of the manuscript. In the case of the manuscript being written by the team, editing only relates to the main author or author whose name is listed first.
    3. Articles written in Indonesian or English with an essay format, accompanied by a title in each part of the article, except in the introductory section which is presented without the section title. Article titles are printed in capital letters in the middle, with font size 14. Ranking of section titles is stated with different font sizes and thicknesses (all section titles and sub-sections are printed in bold or bold thickness), and do not use numbers / numbers in the title part:
    Heading 1 (CHAPTER: ALL LARGE LETTERS, THICK, LEFT EDGE)
    Heading 2 (Sub-chapter: Letters Large Small, Thick, Align Left Edge)
    Heading 3 (Sub-section: Uppercase Small, Flat Left-hand)
    4. Systematics of articles resulting from thought are: title, author's name (without academic degree); abstract (maximum 150 words); keywords; introduction (without title) containing the background and purpose or scope of the writing; main discussion (can be divided into several sub-topics); concluding or conclusion; reference list (only includes referenced sources).
    5. Sources of reference as far as possible constitute literature published in the last 10 years. Preferred references are primary sources in the form of research reports (including theses, theses, dissertations) or research articles in scientific journals and / or magazines.
    6. Referral and citation using referral techniques using Mendelay. The inclusion of sources in direct quotes should be accompanied by a description of the page number from which the quote originated.
    7. The reference list is arranged in a manner such as the following example and is sorted alphabetically and chronologically.
    Book:
    Rats, L. E., Hermin, M. and Simon, S.B. 1996. Value and Teaching: Working with Value in the classroom. Ohio: Charles E. Merril Publishing Co.
    Article collection book:
    Waseso, M.G. & no, A. (Eds.). 2003. Publish scientific journals (3rd edition, 1st print). Malang: UM Press.
    8. The procedure for presenting citations, references, tables, and drawings can follow the directives used in the articles that have been published.
    9. Indonesian-language articles use the enhanced Indonesian Spelling General Guidelines (Ministry of Education and Culture, 1987). English articles use a standard range.
     10. All texts are reviewed anonymously by bestari partners (reviewers) who are appointed by editors according to their expertise. The author of the article is given the opportunity to make improvements (revisions) to the script on the basis of recommendations / suggestions from partner bestari or editor. Certainty of loading and rejecting the manuscript will be notified by e-mail.
    11. Articles are sent no later than 3 (three) months before the month of publication.
    12. Inspection and editing of articles is done by the editor and / or by involving the author.
    13. Everything related to the licensing of quotations or the use of computer software for the production of manuscripts or other matters relating to intellectual property rights carried out by the author of the article, along with legal consequences that may arise as a result, are the full responsibility of the article's author.

    Submission Preparation Checklist

    As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

    1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
    2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
    3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
    4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. Please use this Template. (download template)
    5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
    6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
