Abstract


Abstract: Feasibility Analysis Textbook Chemistry SMA / Ma Class X Redox Reaction Material Based on Criteria Selection Stage 4S TMD. This study aims to determine the feasibility of redox reaction material in textbooks used in most SMA / MA in Bandung based on selection stage criteria of 4S TMD. The type of research used is evaluative research with content analysis method. There are three selection stage criteria from 4S TMD. The first criterion is the suitability of the curriculum demands, the results show that the redox material on the object of research has not been fully in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum. In view of the breadth of the material, there is a concept that is not demanded by the curriculum, but it is contained in the material in the book so the material is too broad. Thus, in general the breadth of the material has not been in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum. Judging from the depth of concept, from the 11 concepts of curriculum demands, the three concepts are stated less in explaining the concept and one concept is stated too deeply. Based on the second criterion, namely the truth of the concept, it is known that overall all the concepts are stated true scientifically according to the text (concept) of chemical standards. Based on the third criterion, that is planting value, it is found that the values ​​embedded in the redox material in the book are curiosity, religious, creative, and honest.
