PENGUASAAN KOSAKATA BAHASA INGGRIS MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CIRCUIT LEARNING PADA SISWA KELAS III DI SDN JATIMULYA 03 BEKASI

Abstract

This research aims to improve the mastery of English vocabulary through ModelCircuit Learning in Bekasi City. This research includes Action class research (PTK) conducted in two cycles. The subject of this study is a grade III student at SDN Jatimulya 03 Bekasi with a total of 32 students. The Data in this study was obtained using written tests and oral tests and observation sheets. Data is analyzed through quantitative descriptive. Based on the results of the study showed that the mastery of English vocabulary students in Prasiklus reached the average value of class 57.72 with a classic percentage of 12.50%. In cycle I experienced an increase in the average grade value to 68.91 with a classifying percentage of classical 53.13%. And in cycle II experienced an increase in the average grade value to 83.28 with a classifying percentage of classical 87.5%. From the results of the analysis, it is evident that the percentage of success in each cycle has increased, and then the Model Circuit Learning can be concluded to improve the mastery of English vocabulary in grade III students at SDN Jatimulya 03 Bekasi.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris melalui ModelCircuit Learning pada siswa di Kota Bekasi.Penelitian ini termasuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu, siswa kelas III SDN Jatimulya 03 Bekasi dengan jumlah 32 siswa. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes tertulis dan tes lisan serta lembar observasi. Data dianalisis melalui deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris siswa pada prasiklus mencapai nilai rata-rata kelas 57,72 dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 12,50%. Pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelas menjadi 68,91 dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 53,13%.Dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelas menjadi 83,28 dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 87,5%. Dari hasil analisis tersebut terlihat bahwa persentase keberhasilan pada setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan, maka dapat disimpulkan Model Circuit Learning dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas III di SDN Jatimulya 03 Bekasi.
