EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK KELAS IV DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of media use in thematic learning during the teaching and learning process in class IV. This study uses a quan­titative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects in this study amounted to 25 IVA class students. The research instrument was a Thematic Interview Guidelines, Guidelines for Observing the Effectiveness of Learning Media, and Multiple Choice Tests. The results of the study show that the media used by the teacher are media images and video media. The use of media images shows that the learning process by using media images in the learning process is quite good, with a percentage of 58%, 69% and 64%. While the use of video media has a percentage of 67%, 72% and 73%. This means that the use of video media has a high effectiveness compared to media images. This happens because teachers rarely use video media so students feel interested when the use of video media takes place. In the learning outcomes of students while following the six learning is very significant which has a percentage of 88%, which means that 21 people out of 25 students are said to be complete in learning outcomes for 1 week.

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran tematik pada saat proses belajar mengajar dikelas IV. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 25 orang peserta didik kelas IVA. Instrumen penelitian berupa Pedoman Wawancara, Kuesioner Minat Belajar, Tes Pilihan Ganda, dan Pedoman Observasi Keaktifan Peserta Didik. Hasil-hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang digunakan guru ialah media gambar dan  media video.  Pada penggunaan media gambar menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media gambar dalam proses belajar sangat sesuai meskipun hasilnya tidak terlalu tinggi dari media video. Sedangkan pada penggunaan media video, peserta didik memiliki keaktifan belajar yang tinggi, situasi belajar semakin menyenangkan dan diminati. Hal ini terjadi karena guru jarang sekali menggunakan media video sehingga terasa asing oleh peserta didik. Jika dilihat dari segi minat belajar peserta didik pun memiliki persentase sebesar 92%. Didalam hasil belajar peserta didik selama mengikuti enam pembelajaran sangatlah signifikan memiliki persentasi yang sebesar 88%, itu artinya 21 orang dari 25 orang peserta didik dikatakan tuntas dalam hasil belajar selama 1 minggu.
