PENGARUH KEKERASAN VERBAL TERHADAP KEPERCAYAAN DIRI ANAK USIA DINI

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kekerasan verbal terhadap kepercayaan diri anak usia 5-6 tahun. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian non-eksperimen ex post facto. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 69 anak yang berusia 5-6 tahun beserta masing-masing orang tua dengan menggunakan teknik sampel acak sederhana (simple random sampling). Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menyebar angket kepada orang tua dan melakukan observasi kepada anak. Kemudian, analisis data yang digunakan adalah anova satu arah (one way anova). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara kekerasan verbal terhadap kepercayaan diri anak. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil penghitungan menggunakan anova satu arah (one way anova) yaitu taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,001 < 0,05 sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak. Berdasarkan penghitungan besaran pengaruh kekerasan verbal memiliki pengaruh negatif sebesar 83% terhadap kepercayaan diri anak usia 5-6 tahun. Kekerasan verbal yang paling tinggi dilakukan oleh orang tua adalah mempermalukan dan membandingkan, sehingga membuat anak menjadi tidak yakin dengan dirinya sendiri. Oleh karena itu, kekerasan verbal dapat membuat kepercayaan diri anak rendah.
