Perkembangan Perekonomian Transmigran di Belitang (1937-1942)

Abstract

The title of this research is Development of Transmigrants Economy in Belitang (1937-1943). The problem of this research were how the coming process and the development of transmigrants in Belitang in 1937-1943 in social and economy. The method used in this research is the historical method; a systematic framework to collect historical sources, by giving criticism and judgment in solving facts, to obtain the truth, and to present it in writing. In this research the writer was using sociology, economic, and geography approach. The result of data analysis showed that the development of the Dutch economy in implementation of transmigration is quite successful to solve of the lack of agricultural land and reducing poverty in Java by providing the land in Belitang, Sumatra Selatan, as residence and place of income. In the social interaction is occurred both Komering and Java people which is producing helped each other and cooperate.  Keywords : Transmigrants, Development,  Economy, Belitang.
