PENDEKATAN SAINS TEKNOLOGI MASYARAKAT (STM) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA DI KELAS IV SDN 05 INDRALAYA

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to know influence approaches Science Technology Society (STM) to the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 05 Indralaya in science subjects. Research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2015/2016 at SDN 05 Indralaya. The method used in this research was Quasi Experimental research design with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes of class IV-B was 25 students as an ex-perimental class and class IV-C are 25 students as the control class. Instruments used in this study is written test. Based on the results of data analysis prerequisite test pre-test and posttest that the data are normally distributed. From the data analysis discovered that the average results of experimental class learning is 77.27, while the control group was 61.24. After interpolation for df = 43 and a significant level of 5% of the obtained ttabel 2.017. Turns thitung greater than ttabel namely 4.369> 2.017 then H0 rejected and Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that there are significant approach of Science Technology Society (STM) to the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 05 Indralaya in science subjects.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 05 Indralaya pada mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2015/2016 di SDN 05 Indralaya. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Quasi Experimental dengan rancangan penelitian Non equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas IV-B berjumlah 25 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV-C berjumlah 25 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil uji prasyarat analisis data pretest dan posttest bahwa data tersebut terdistribusi normal. Dari analisis data diketahui rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen adalah 77,27, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah 61,24. Setelah dilakukan interpolasi untuk dk=43 dan taraf signifikan 5% maka di-peroleh ttabel sebesar 2,017. Ternyata thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 4,369 > 2,017 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pe-ngaruh pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 05 Indralaya pada mata pelajaran IPA.
