MEDIA POP UP BOOK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Abstract : This study described about the improvement of Social Science learning achievement through the use of  the Media Pop Up Book on fifth grade pupils of SD Negeri 157 Palembang. The design of this research was classroom action research which applied two cycles. Each cycle consisted of the stages which were planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fifth grade pupils of SD Negeri 157 Palembang amounted to 29 students who consisted of 13 male students and 16 female students. Data were collected with written test techniques, observation and documentation. The results of the study on the implementation of Cycle I showed that the student learning achievement was 53,45 %. In cycle II, the results of the study for students learning achievement in Cycle II was 84,48 %. The results of student learning activities in Cycle I was 71,55 which these data were categorized active. In Cycle II achieved 87.07 which these data were categorized very active. These data indicate that by using Media Pop Up Book, there is an improvement in learning achievement on the subjects of Social Sciences fifth grade pupils of SD Negeri 157 Palembang.

Abstrak : Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial melalui penggunaan Media Pop Up Book pada siswa kelas VD SD Negeri 157 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas, yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap tahapan siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VD SD Negeri 157 Palembang yang berjumlah 29 siswa, terdiri dari 13 siswa laki-laki dan 16 siswa perempuan. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik tes tertulis, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian pada pelaksanaan Siklus I menunjukkan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa 53,45%. Hasil penelitian pada Siklus II menunjukkan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa mencapai 84,48%. Hasil aktivitas belajar siswa pada Siklus I yaitu 71,55 yang terkategori cukup aktif. Pada Siklus II sebesar 87,07 terkategori sangat aktif. Dari data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial siswa kelas VD SD Negeri 157 Palembang setelah menggunakan Media Pop Up Book. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Media Pop Up Book dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar ilmu pengetahuan sosial di kelas VD SD Negeri 157 Palembang.
